Today's featured mini painting at The Ian Russell Gallery of Fine Art is titled "Coastal Mist." This 3x4 inch oil painting captures a serene coastal scene with turbulent ocean waves, dark rocks, splashes of white foam, and pine trees lining the rocky shoreline. The sky's gentle gradient from light blue to muted shades adds to the tranquility of the scene. The challenge of encapsulating the dynamic movement and natural beauty in such a small format was a unique process, but the inspiration from the mist of the crashing surf made it a rewarding endeavor.
